Other Framing Services

Canvas Stretching

We can stretch or restretch your canvas over a range of stretcher bar mouldings of various sizes.    Either take the image around the edge for a contemporary finish, or leave the image on the front only, then frame or hang as it is.  See Framing Art on Canvas for information on framing art on canvas.

Reglazing

Whether you've broken the glass in your frame or want to upgrade it, we can help.  Just bring in your existing frame, we'll remove the old glass (which is recycled), we'll fit the new glass and then finish off the back of your frame, ready to go straight back on the wall.  Depending on the availability of our staff at the time you call, we might even do it while you wait.

Textile Lacing

To frame your embroidery, cross stitch, tapestry or other textile art, first it will need to be stretched.  We choose the lacing method and can lace your textile over acid free card prior to framing.  If you would prefer to do this yourself, call in with the tapestry and we'll cut you some card for you.

Frame Restoration

If you've damaged your frame, we can take a look to see if it can be restored rather than replaced.  This will depend on the damage, but small chips, scratches and missing sections of ornate frames can generally be restored.  See the Frame Restoration section for more details.

Dry Mounting

Using our Dry Mounting Press, we can heat bond wavy pictures down onto card or board to restore its 'flat' appearance.  We can also bond onto self-adhesive card and self-adhesive foam board, depending on the artwork and conservation considerations.  Please call in to discuss.

Printed Mounts

Using the printer from our Fine Art Printing service, we can print logos and text onto mounts prior to framing.  This gives a professional appearance to corporate mounts or presentation mounts.
